Here’s a reminder that the waivers on vehicle and drivers license renewals will end in mid April in Texas.

Here is the News Release from the Texarkana Texas Police Department:

The temporary waivers in Texas on registering your vehicle and renewing your driver’s license end on April 14th. Governor Abbott put those in place last year in response to the pandemic, but they are expiring next month.
If you need to take care of either one or both, now is the time to get them done. In many cases, you will likely be able to renew them online. However, your particular circumstances may require that you do it in person.
Please don’t wait until the last minute only to find out that you can’t do it online and wind up missing the deadline.
We’ve not written any tickets for expired vehicle registration or driver’s license in over a year. However, we will start enforcing both of these laws again on April 14th. Don’t get caught unaware.
