If you have trouble understanding the average teenager, there’s a dictionary to help. Tinder released a list of Gen Z terms to help decode what the heck 18-to-25 years old are saying. It’s meant to bridge the gap between millennials and Gen Zers looking for a ‘match.’ For example, it defines “cushioning” as keeping backup relationships to soften the blow of getting dumped. “Situationship” is that stage between a booty call and ‘dating.’ “Rizz” is shorthand for charisma. And “Kitten Fishing” is like catfishing but way less of a lie. Then there’s “Daterview,” a date that feels more like an interview.
