The Texarkana Arkansas Police PRIDE Academy is designed to build lasting
relationships between young children and the officers of the Texarkana Arkansas Police
Department. By creating these lasting bonds, it will give the youth attendees of this program the
confidence and encouragement that they need to make quality life choices and become a
successful adult. To achieve our objective, we will seek to provide the following to the youth
attendees:§ Create a positive experience with law enforcement
§ Provide encouragement and direction for making quality life choices
§ Teach self-discipline
§ Build self-confidence by working with them in a team conceptWe are nearing the end of the school year and we want to make sure that any 5th graders from our wonderful Arkansas Schools who want to participate in P.R.I.D.E. this August get a chance to do so! So if you live here in Texarkana, Arkansas and have a 5th grader getting ready to move into the 6th grade, get those applications turned in. We are so looking forward to P.R.I.D.E. this year!!
