A shooting in a neighborhood off Moores Lane has left one person dead and another arrested.
Here is the News Release from the Texarkana Texas Police Department:\
We are on the scene of homicide on Sidney Drive, just north of Moores Lane. It’s very early in the investigation but we have the suspected shooter in custody. The victim died at the scene. We believe this was a carry over from a fight that occurred earlier today at Texas High School.
We will update you with more information on this developing situation as we can.
Due to the proximity of the Pleasant Grove Middle School, that institution was put on lock down for a short amount of time until police told school officials that an arrest had been made.
