The recent rains are causing some major flooding in our area. The Texarkana Texas Police Department urges motorists to exercise good judgment when driving through any water; if it looks like more than a wee little puddle, turn around and take an alternate route.
We shouldn’t have to say this but apparently, we do… If you come upon a street with water standing on it, turn around and go another way. It’s too dangerous!
This is the underpass on College Drive, where the water level is already over 4 feet deep. Many other streets in Texarkana are also flooded right now, and several people are stuck in their cars from where they have tried to drive through the high water.
Turn around. Don’t drown!
