Texans may have the opportunity to carry a firearm without a permit later this year if House Bill 1911 is passed by Texas legislator and signed by the Governor.

House Bill 1911 would allow Texans over 21 years of age to carry a firearm without the standard licensing. It would also eliminate required firearms training.

The Bill was authored by State Rep. J. White session, April 5, 2001. He states, “Training and licenses should not trump Second Amendment rights.”
