Today Camille with Harvest Regional Food Bank. Children are back in at school, and Harvest Regional Food back will continue to provide students in 10 counties, Bowie County in Texas, and nine counties in Southwest Arkansas. The two programs we discussed today are specific to students.  Don’t miss the podcast to hear heart-touching testimonies from children who utilize these programs.

Harvest Regional Food Bank Backpack Program: This program offers children who are food insecure meals. Every Friday, the children receive enough shelf-stable meals to ensure proper nutrition while not at school. Essentially two breakfast, two lunch items, and snacks. All of these items are easy to open and do not to be cooked.

Harvest Regional Bank Food Pantry: This program is geared towards older students who can safely cook. The pantry mirrors a small store with dried goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, and snacks. Recipe cards are available to help the student better utilize the items.

Both of these programs are funded through monetary donations only. $125 supports one student for an entire year.
