Thank goodness Texarkana Texas Police Department could stop this car and return it to its rightful owner. During the stop, a routine search turned up drugs were found, leading to even more charges.

Early Thursday morning, Officer Micah Miller noticed a older Chevrolet Tahoe driving north on Summerhill Road that matched the description of one that had been stolen the day before. He and Officer James Ward stopped the Tahoe and arrested the driver, Lee Wilgus, after confirming it was actually the stolen vehicle. When the officers walked up to the vehicle, they saw a box sitting in the console between the seats that had some small baggies and marijuana in it. They started talking to Taylor Tart, who was the only other person in the car, and asked her about drugs. She initially denied knowing anything about it but then pulled out a bag containing 14.4 grams of meth from her bra.

Wilgus was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana. He was later released from jail after posting a $12,000 bond. Tart was also arrested for the marijuana and also an additional charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and she got out of jail this morning after posting a bond of $17,000.

The stolen vehicle was returned to the owner.
