Sergeant Kim Weaver recently graduated from the 131st School of Police Supervision at the Institute of Law Enforcement Administration.
During the four week course, she studied a wide range of topics related to first line supervision in a police department, including accountability, conflict resolution, critical thinking, ethics and diversity, leadership, media relations, servant leadership, and stress management.
We are committed to providing the absolute best service possible to our community and believe that continued training and education for all our officers are essential to achieve that. To that end, we provide specialized supervisory training to every officer when they are promoted to sergeant and then a higher level when they are later promoted to lieutenant. It’s an investment in the future of our city and department – an investment that continues to pay dividends for us all in Texarkana.
