The Pleasant Grove Hawks baseball team punched it’s ticket to the State Class 4A Tournament next week in Austin.
The Hawks did so by winning the 4A Region Final series over Liberty-Eylau. The two Texarkana teams played this week at Tiger Field at Texas High.
PG took the best of three series, two games to none to advance. The Hawks won game one on Wednesday night by a score of 7-5. They took the second contest last night 4-3.
Both wins involved come from behind victories.
Congratulations to the Leopards on a great season, and good luck to Pleasant Grove as they try and bring a state baseball title back to Texarkana.
