Pleasant Grove ISD has announced that Jennifer Gibson will become the new Director of Finance.

Trustees approved the appointment at the April 20 Regular Board of Trustees Meeting.
Gibson has been with Pleasant Grove ISD since 2014. She has most recently served as the Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) for Pleasant Grove ISD since 2018.
Prior to PGISD, she spent five years as a Business and Finance Teacher in Frisco ISD. Gibson also has eight years of experience in the corporate finance industry working for the Bank of America Headquarters in Plano, TX.
“We are thrilled to have Jennifer join our central administration team as the Director of Finance,” said Superintendent Chad Pirtle. “Her experience in finance and education along with her commitment to excellence are qualities that are essential for this position. I have no doubt that she will continue to be a tremendous asset to our district in this new capacity.”
Throughout her career, Gibson has served in leadership roles in various professional and community organizations, including member of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Texas CTE Leadership Committee, advisor for the National Technical Honor, continuing education instructor for Texarkana College, and co-lead chair for The University of Texas-Dana Center Project.
“I’m thrilled to take on this new challenge and bring my skills as a problem solver to the Director of Finance role,” Gibson said. “I’m eager to work with my new colleagues and ensure that our financial resources are allocated in the most effective way possible.”
Gibson earned her Bachelor of Arts from Howard Payne University and a Master of Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University. She holds principal and teacher certifications in the state of Texas. Gibson will begin her new role on April 24th.
