Mixing These Cleaning Supplies Could Kill You

With a world-wide pandemic, cleaning and sanitizing has become the pastime of most of us. With some of our go to cleansers in high-demand, many are trying new products. Make sure you never mix these chemicals together because it could hurt you, maybe even kill you.

  • Bleach and rubbing alcohol make chloroform. Yes, the same exact same stuff used in movies to
knock people out. (In reality it doesn’t really work that fast. Do not experiment with it.)
  • Bleach and vinegar make chlorine gas. This mixture of chemicals was first used as a weapon
    in World War One.
  • Bleach and ammonia make chloramine gas. A bunch of household cleaners contain ammonia.
So check the label. It might be listed as “ammonium hydroxide.”
  • Hydrogen peroxide and vinegar make a toxic compound called peracetic acid. It’s
been known to cause a lot of respiratory issues.
