We’re keeping a running list of events that have been canceled or postponed, due to the abundance of caution regarding the COVID-19 novel coronavirus.

Thursday, March 19th:

United Way of Greater Texarkana, Recognition Breakfast Cancellation: The United Way of Greater Texarkana is in its final weeks of the 2020 Annual Campaign. Although our donations/pledges are behind last year’s campaign numbers, we feel optimistic about the future and the programs we support throughout the region! Our campaign co-chairs (Dr. Emily & Dr. Tom Cutrer) have been working diligently through this campaign season and we are hopeful that we can maintain grants at last year’s levels. Regarding our Annual United Way of Greater Texarkana Recognition Breakfast, scheduled for April 3rd; we are following CDC Guidelines and are regrettably canceling this year’s Annual Event, which spotlights our biggest supporters! The United Way will continue to take donations to help support the 25+ programs we have in place. We will also be participating in the EAST TEXAS GIVING DAY on April 28th. (An on-line event!)

Donors can go to:  Go to www.EastTexasGivingDay.org and search for the United Way of Texarkana and make a donation of $10 or more and make their direct donation without leaving their house, or if they prefer they can place it in our mail slot at 214 Spruce Street. We’d like to thank everyone again for their support through these surreal times! With neighbors continuing to take care of our neighbors, we will ALL make it through this COVID-19 pandemic.
