Collectively we will mourn the loss of Lieutenant Clay McClure with the Texarkana Texas Police Department. We offer prays for the family, friends, and TTPD during this difficult time.
It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that Lieutenant Clay McClure passed away at a local hospital last night after a lengthy battle with COVID. He was surrounded by his family and some of his closest brothers in blue. Clay was 54 years old and worked for TTPD for 22 years. He worked as a patrol officer, supervisor, and narcotics investigator during his time with us.
Chief Kevin Schutte said, “Clay was more than a great cop. He was a mentor, a brother, and a lifelong friend whose legacy will live on in this organization. He will be missed.”
Please keep his wife, two children, and his friends and family in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
