2023 marks Texarkana’s 150th year! To celebrate, the Texarkana Sesquicentennial Committee (TXK150) has planned some fantastic events to help honor this milestone in our city’s history. Next Saturday, January 28, at the P.J. Ahern Home, you can add a piece of your family history to the Texarkana Sesquicentennial Community Quilt. The event is free; click here to register. Participants are encouraged to bring a scrap of fabric that has personal meaning and add that piece to our quilt. No prior sewing experience is necessary! We will help you stitch your memories. This is a great chance to share special stories from your family with your Texarkana neighbors.
