If You See Drug Activity Please Report It

We are the front line of defense in the “War on Drugs.” If we hold our ground, we can help curb the devasting toll drugs have on our families, community, and great nation. TAPD urges us to reach out to them if we see or suspect any drug-related activities. If we all work together, we can take back our streets and break the cycle. If you or someone you love struggles with addiction, we have a list of local services available. Together we can make great things happen.

We, as police officers, must learn to recognize and deal with an assortment of crimes. One of the crimes that hinder growth within a community that is an issue across this nation is DRUGS!

Our patrol officers and detectives do a great job bringing those to justice who use or sell drugs in our community. We want to share some information with the community for those who may not know this. Our agency has a subsection that we call The Drug Task Force. Our DTF Detectives primarily place their focus on DRUGS! They seek out dealers who bring this pollution into our towns. Addicts are the drug dealer’s focus. Addicts need to find help to rid the addiction, but they contribute to the supply and demand while they are using. If you are an addict or know someone who needs help with an addiction, you can contact 1-888-NAWORKS (629-6757) or Southwest Arkansas Counseling, and speak with Kim Cox, the Peer Recovery Specialist at (870)-773-4655.

We as an agency work hard to rid drugs from our community, but it is an ongoing battle. The Drug Task Force seeks the dealers and pushers and other crimes that tie into drugs, such as guns, money laundering, to name a few. The Drug Task Force team works behind the scenes to keep our community safer, but they cannot do it alone.

We encourage the community to join us in taking your neighborhoods back!!! We ask you if you see something in your area that you feel is drug activity. Please call us! You can remain anonymous. However, give the person who answers the phone as much information as possible to provide this to the Drug Task Force. You can call the Criminal Investigation Division and report (903)-798-3154.

If we all do our part, we make a statement to the drug dealers sitting in jail. Working together provides security for our children’s future and our city.

Thank you, and have a safe day!
