Free Summer Fun at Texakana Public Library [VIDEO]

Ahoy Mateys! This short, exciting video is your invitation to the Texarkana Public Libary Summer Reading Program, “Oceans of Possibilities.” Starting next week, every Monday and Friday during the summer, we will post a short clip of our Captain Daisy’s journey to find the missing treasure of Cap’n Sammy “The Seasloth” Lazyjacks. So we hope we will see you on the high Sea of endless possibilities.

You will enjoy the following fun:
Mini Art Show: Ocean Themed mini canvases available for ages 7 years old and up.
Needle Nuts: Have a knitting project started, come by the library for a great company while you work on your project.
Big Rig Take Over: We will have Big Rigs come by the library and the kids to learn about the Rig and then the kids will take over. This year the fire truck will allow us to use their water hose.
Board Games: Come by the library to play your favorite board games and more.
Family Color Me Happy: We will have a time for families to come by and have a relaxing time coloring and just hanging out with each other
Minute to Win it Game: We will set up games where you have minutes to complete them.
Stuff Your Prize: Once you have finished your hours you will be invited to stuff your own grand prize.
Human Battleship: This is an interesting take on the old favorite game “Battleship.” Kids will take the place of the battleships and try to get the other “battleships” out with beachballs.
