This theatrical adaptation of the popular children’s novel WILEY AND THE HAIRY MAN is a spine-tingling tale of a boy and his worst fears in the swamp. Set deep within the Louisiana Swamp, the story of Wiley and the Hairy Man centers around a young fatherless boy, his conjure-woman mother, his faithful dog, and the Hairy Man who haunts Wiley’s days and dreams.
Winner of the ASSITEJ: Outstanding International Play for Young Audiences and The Charlotte B. Chorpenning Playwright Award this one-of-a-kind performance is suitable for all ages!
Featuring life-sized puppets specially built for our performance by the Arkansas Center for the Arts in Little Rock, the show uses rhythm, rhyme, and a chorus of actors to create the mystery of the swamp.
