Authorities are urging area residents to have a fun, but safe New Year’s Day Holiday Weekend.
Remember to not drink alcohol, or drive impaired in any way. Use a designated driver, or other means of getting to and from. But never get behind the wheel impaired.
Law enforcement agencies will be out in extra numbers to make sure people comply and keep the streets and roadways safe this holiday.
Also remember, that if you plan on using fireworks to celebrate ringing in 2023, to do so in a safe manner, outside of the city limits. It’s against the law to shoot fireworks inside most municipalities.
