The “Stand Your Ground” bill, SB24, has passed the Arkansas House and Senate earlier this year after being reworked. Governor Asa Hutchinson has signed this bill into law. This legislation loosens up Arkansas’s restrictions on the use of lethal force when used in self-defense. The bill allows for an armed person to use deadly force if they believe they are in imminent danger.
