To ensure the safety of Red River Army Depot will be conducting prescribed burns as weather allows now through May 2021.
Please be advised that the depot will be conducting prescribed burns from January through May as weather allows. Burns are conducted annually for timber stand improvement, wildlife habitat management and to help protect the depot from destructive wildfires. The depot land managers are always mindful of potential smoke impacts to the depot and the local communities and try to minimize those impacts as much as possible. Proper notifications are made each morning of a burn.
