We would like to welcome Office Dominic Hooper to Texarkana!  We are sure he will enjoy his TAPD family and our community.
We would like to congratulate and welcome an outstanding new officer with our agency. Meet Officer Dominic Hooper. Officer Hooper was hired in the latter part of 2020. He attended the three-month Basic Police Academy in Camden, Arkansas. He did an excellent job there and graduated in Early 2021. After completing the basic police academy, he returned to TAPD, where he began the four-month Field Training Program. He was assisted by seasoned Field Training Officers and under the direction of Field Training Sergeant Chris King. This is a comprehensive and intensive training program that gives recruits hands-on training and the knowledge they need to become an officer at TAPD.

This training puts them through different shifts, with different officers, and allows them to learn each aspect of police work. We are very grateful to have Officer Hooper at the agency. Not only will the agency be better, but we believe the community will benefit as well by having Officer Hooper in our TAPD family. Officer Hooper served our country by enlisting in the Air Force and now is serving the community.

Officer Hooper is assigned to the Patrol Division Delta Squad, under the great leadership of Sgt. Lester Colley, Sgt. Kyle Beach, and Lt. Chris Rankin. If you see Officer Hooper in the community, please help us in extending our congratulations or just introduce yourself and say hello!!
