Texas Covid-19 Testing Backed Up

There are so many Covid-19 tests being sent in, that is causing a back log and slowly numbers.

This according to the Bowie County Joint Operation Center in Texarkana.

Here is the latest Press Release from local officials:

Note: There will be no update for the rest of the week unless test results are reported to the EOC. Labs are
currently backed up in the State of Texas, meaning the number of new cases may seem lower than it actually
is. Please note this when reviewing the following information.

Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports 0 new cases since Friday, November 20, 2020 for a total
of 2,491 positive COVID-19 cases, with 97 deaths. The Department of State Health Services is reporting 1,789
recoveries.

Cass County added 0 new cases, for a total of 720, with 620 of those recovered, and 33 fatalities.

Through the end of the year, free testing will be offered Monday- Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Texarkana-Bowie County Family Health Center at 902 W. 12 th Street, Texarkana, TX 75501. There are no requirements for testing (residency included), oral swab with results in 48-96 hours, and pre-registration available.
