Texarkana Trinity Christian School Dominate Basketball Playoffs

This weekend Coach Evans, Basketball Coach for Trinity Christian School, led both the Jr Girls’ and Boys’ basketball teams to semi-play off in Oklahoma. We have the exciting details here.

Trinity Christian Schools Coach Bryce Evans lead both the Jr. Girls and Boys basketball teams to Oklahoma this February 5th, Friday, and Saturday, February 6th, to play in the State semifinals and finals. After being up by eight at halftime, the Jr. Girls feel short by 8, ending their much improved season. Kyleigh Purtle was our leading scorer in that game scoring 11 pts. The Jr. High boys took a commanding win in the semifinals winning by 28 pts. Halston Baca was our top scorer scoring 26 pts in the semifinals game.

The Jr. Boys played in the finals against Lakewood Saturday, February 6th, in a back and forth game during the 1st quarter until they started knocking down 3’s. They hit a total of 6, 3 pointers last night. They were lead in scoring by Gavin Owen with 12 pts. and eight rebounds.

The senior high Boys and Girls Basketball teams will play semifinals starting tomorrow night at Columbia Christian. If they can pull out a win, they will travel to Oklahoma for the Championship games.
