With great sorrow, we share that Dwight Nevill passed away on May 30th.  Our community will forever miss the charity and kindness this great man taught us. Today we saw our community trying to come to terms with the loss of this kind, generous man.

Friday, May 29th an impromptu rally was organized for the community to drive to his house hoping to lift his spirits and show him how much he means to everyone.  The Nevill family has been kind enough to keep the community involved with Dwight Nevill’s Journey Facebook page.

We are humbled to have been able to cover the opening prayer for this amazing group of people.

If you never met or saw Dwight, you would just think he was a common man. But he was so much more. Dwight treated all people the way he wanted to be treated. With love respect and common courtesy.

Dwight came from a big family. Dwight’s parents had 10 children. There were always children around in their home. There wasn’t a lot of extra money, but there was plenty of love that filled their small happy home. That is were Dwight’s love of children began I believe.
Dwight loved helping anyone, old or young. But God gave Dwight the gift of helping and loving children. Dwight was the backbone of the Marine’s Toys for Tots, for decades here in his community. It was his passion.

Dwight found out about a local orphanage called Water Springs Ranch that wouldn’t have Christmas presents for their children one year. This broke his heart. So he & some of his fellow biker brothers came & delivered presents, food supplies, and mostly love that year. And he has done that each Christmas for decades as well. He also helps raise college scholarships for them when they graduate. I’ve seen him do many fundraisers for people who were hurt, bad health, wrecks or just down on their luck. Dwight lived to help & love his fellow man.

Dwight served his country in Vietnam as a Marine. He was proud to be called Marine. He was a Purple Heart Veteran as well. He would do rally rides for our local heroes and celebrated Memorial Day, Veterans Day Flag Day and any other military event with pride.
These statements are just a few things Dwight Nevill has done in his lifetime. He truly tried to leave a better life behind for his family and fellow man. He IS the true definition of an American Hero.  I am so proud of my brother in law, so honored & grateful God has placed him & his family in my life.

I only pray I can do or be just a fraction of what my brother has done for his family country & his community.
I love & miss you, Dwight. I’ll see you again one day soon. Semper Fi
(Always Faithful) 💔
