Panther 2021 Homecoming Details | Ashdown AR

Homecoming is here for Ashdown Public Schools.  The 2021 Homecoming will be jamming all week with the “Come Face the Music”  Panther Playlist. We are all going to enjoy the 2021 Homecoming Mix Tape. Don’t miss a beat, below we a the complete run down.

Ashdown Public Schools
Monday will be “’Merica Monday” and everyone will be all decked out in their red, white, and blue (R.O.C.K. in the USA by John Mellencamp);
Tuesday will be “Team Tuesday” and we will be representing our favorite sports teams (Centerfield by John Fogerty);
Wednesday’s jam will be 9 to 5 by Dolly Parton. “Workforce Wednesday” and everyone will be dressing for the job they want.
Thriller Thursday” features Michael Jackson’s hit, and Halloween costumes can be worn.
Friday will be “Victory Friday” and all will be wearing their purple and gold showing their Panther Pride.  That tune on the playlist will be Sweet Victory by Bob Kulick and David Glen Eisley.

Homecoming Activities
Homecoming activities for the week will include district-wide campus spirit dress-up days, class spirit banners, class food drive contests, powder-puff football games with a cheerleading contest, and the homecoming parade.  The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade will be Coach David Wilson.

Homecoming Powder Puff Game
The AHS Student Council will have their annual Powder Puff Game at Dick Hays Stadium Tuesday, October 26th at 6:30 pm.  Admission is $3 for everyone attending (this includes all guests and participants) since this is a fundraiser for the AHS Student Council.

Homecoming Parade
Ashdown Public School campuses will dismiss at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 29th.  The daytime presentation of the AHS Homecoming Royalty will begin at 12:00 pm. Following the presentation, there will be a brief pep rally and parade.  Anyone who wishes to participate in the parade must contact Carla Alexander at 870-898-3562 to sign up for the parade and receive a line-up number.  The parade participants will line up on E. Richmond starting at the E. Richmond/Locust intersection. The parade will proceed left on Locust Street, left on Hagan Drive, Ellen Drive, and return to the AHS student parking lot down Locke Street. Participants are to remain on the floats until back on campus.

Homecoming King and Queen Coronation
Evening coronation activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Dick Hays Stadium where the 2021 Homecoming Royalty will be presented and the queen and maid of honor will be announced.

Ashdown High School Friday Night Football
The kick-off for the Ashdown Panthers vs. Robinson Senators is 7:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited to come out and support the Panthers!

Homecoming is a time for AHS alumni to reunite and celebrate. This year, Classes that end in “1” will be recognized and each is encouraged to enter a float in the parade on Friday afternoon and sit together during the game.
