UPDATE: 6/19/22 at 9:00a – The victim’s name is Michael Paxton. He was 65. His wife, who is also 65 years old, is still in critical condition at St. Michael Hospital.

UPDATE: 6/19/22 at 7:30a – The suspect has been identified as Shaun Paxton of Texarkana, Texas. He was booked into the Bi-State Jail for Murder and Aggravated Assault.
Early this morning, Texarkana Texas Police Department was called to a come in the 3600 block of Skyline Drive in Texarkana to find a man murdered and his wife in at an area hospital suffering multiple stab wounds and listed in critical conditions. The couple’s forty-two-year-old son has been arrested for Murder and Aggravated Assault. The investigation continues, and we will provide more details as they are released.

We are on the scene investigating a murder at a home in the 3600 block of Skyline Drive at 1:30 this morning. We’re still working on figuring out the details of exactly what happened, but a man died at the home and his wife is in critical condition at Christus St. Michael Hospital with multiple stab wounds.
The couples’ 42 year old son was arrested at the scene for Murder and Aggravated Assault.We’ll give an update here as more information becomes available.
