On September 3rd, a young guy rode up on a bicycle and took a cell phone out of a vehicle that was parked near W. 26th and Pine Streets. The victim noticed him out by his SUV and went outside to see what was going on, but the man was able to get away on his bike before he could get to him.

When Detective Cliff Harris saw the victim’s security video, he knew exactly who it was. From some other recent cases he has worked, he immediately recognized the guy as 18-year-old Caleb King. Based upon that identification and other information obtained in the investigation, Detective Aaron Wafford was later able to get an arrest warrant for King for Burglary of a Vehicle.

Now we just had to find King to serve that warrant – and it didn’t take long. Officer Micah Miller was headed to another call late last Friday night when he noticed King out riding his bicycle around the Highland Park neighborhood. King was arrested for the warrant and booked into the Bi-State Jail, where he still sits with a $10,000 bond.
