A case of Coronavirus has been confirmed in both Cass County Texas and Sevier County Arkansas.
That was the major news from a Joint Operations Media Briefing and Press Conference that was held Friday afternoon at the Ark-Tex Council of Governments Building in Texarkana.
Bowie County Judge Bobby Howell says those two counties join Bowie County in our area that has confirmed cases. That brings the total to three in our area. Of course, multiple cases have been confirmed in Caddo Parish in Northwest Louisiana.
The Joint Operations Center has expanded to include Cass County. Judge Becky Wilbanks thanked the local leaders for including her county in this joint operation.
Meanwhile, the Small Business Administration has included businesses in certain Arkansas counties can begin applying for assistance under the declaration for the state of Louisiana. The south Arkansas counties include Miller, Lafayette, Columbia, and Union.
