City Council to Look at Celebrating Sesquicentennial

Next year will be the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Texarkana and the Texas side city council is planning on celebrating.

That is part of the agenda for tonight’s council meeting:

The City Council reserves the right to convene into closed session on any agenda item or issue if
applicable pursuant to authorization by the Texas Open Meetings Act (Title 5, Chapter 551 of the
Texas Government Code), and will reconvene into open session before taking any final action,
decision, or vote on a matter deliberated.

1. Consider approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting of the City Council held on
February 28, 2022 at 6:00 PM.

2. Resolution No. 2022-021 authorizing the City Manager to execute a five-year (5)
contract with Petroleum Traders Corporation of Fort Wayne, Indiana, in an amount
not to exceed $574,651, with funds budgeted in the Fleet Service Fund (Fund 703), to
supply fuel for all city vehicles and equipment. Public Hearing: Council Vote: March 14, 2022

3. Resolution No. 2022-022 authorizing the City Manager to accept an Enterprise Agreement proposal from SHI Government Solutions of Austin, Texas, for Microsoft licenses and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate a final Enterprise Agreement, at a total cost, with budgeted funds, not to exceed $155,814.84, with the Texas portion being $95,483.33, over a three-year (3) period.
