Starting Wednesday, July 28, veterans and active-duty military will no longer have to pay fees to obtain their concealed carry license.  The new, Stand Your Ground Law is part of the Arkansas legislature’s effort to reinforce Second Amendment rights. Governor Asa Hutchinson signed in May, which changed the fee cost structure.

While the new law eliminates licensing fees, veterans must get a background check and go through the five-hour training course required to obtain a license.
